These are rigid with a patented sliding switch on handle which turns the
vacuum on and off. Other features include smooth tip and eyes, easy-to-grasp proximal end, atraumatic fine tip made of soft, radiopaque, croppable polyurethane.
These are made with a ribbed handle and are sterile.

TY-CARE* closed suction systems
This is a closed suction system reducing both the impact of suction on ventilation and the risks of infection. The closed design means the ventilator does not have to be disconnected during suctioning. This has a unique dual density atraumatic suction catheter with a soft tip and four side eyes to minimise trauma combined with a stiffer upper section to allow easy insertion into the airway. A rotating valve allows the catheter to be replaced if required or procedures such as bronchoscopy to be carried out without opening the system.
